Brands Give Back
Brands Give Back

Thanksgiving is the ultimate holiday to bring forward the things that we're thankful for. At Premier, we want to take this opportunity to recognize our brands that have worked with philanthropies to give back to the community. 2020 has brought to light a variety of issues that need to be addressed. These philanthropies are focused on resolving a variety of social, environmental, and health issues.

KEVIN.MURPHY

KEVIN.MURPHY has ensured that they have done their part during 2020 and that they continue to do so in 2021. This year, KEVIN.MURPHY donated over $100,000 to various organizations across Australia to assist with those who were impacted by Australian wildfires. Some of these organizations include the Red Cross Disaster Relief, NSW Rural Fire Service, RSPCA New South Wales, and the World Wildlife Fund.

Milbon

Another brand that has taken the initiative this year to give back is Milbon. This Japanese-based brand has contributed to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to help better the world by supporting those who suffer from poverty, gender inequality, and more. Milbon also donates time and resources to the Japan Hair & Donation Charity and the NAACP.

Keune

Keune donated hair products to healthcare workers who needed them while fighting against COVID-19. When you're up against a virus on the front-lines, simple things such as quality hair products matter. Keune thanked these workers and encouraged them to take a moment for themselves. Keune also donated to The Quinn House and The International Women's House. Below are pictures of doctors and nurses receiving the donated hair products from Keune.

UNITE

This year, UNITE is grateful for having the opportunity to work with such great charities and programs and achieve 17 years of creating quality work and products. This company puts its focus on connecting animals and humans to benefit each other. They have done this by raising over a combined $130,000 for the Shelter to Soldier program and the SD Humane Society.

ELEVEN

One of the leading charities that ELEVEN supports is Hagar. Hagar is an international charity that assists women and children who have survived severe human abuse. Furthermore, taking care of the environment and the wildlife that resides within it is close to the core of ELEVEN's values. That's why ELEVEN Australia participated in fundraisers to help the country recover from the Australian bush fires.

Alfaparf

Alfaparf has dedicated this year to uplift the underprivileged within our community. They have decided to focus on supporting people of color through the NAACP, the Equal Justice Initiative, and the Black Futures Lab.

In regards to 2020, they said,

"In this truly unique year, we are thankful for unexpected blessings. Time to spend at home with family, our children, our loved ones. Time to appreciate simple things like fresh air, outdoor BBQs at home, walks in the park. We are grateful for the way stylists have supported each other, lifted each other, raised funds for each other, encouraged each other. We are grateful for the technology that allowed us to see one another, to provide free education, to stay inspired, and to connect. This year, we are thankful for seeing walls of division begin to come down in our industry, open conversations and dialogue about race and opportunity, and real desire to continue to listen, learn, and grow. We are grateful for our team, who navigated challenges with grace, empathy, and bravery. We are thankful for our incredible partners and especially to you - the stylist - for allowing us to be a part of your world."

ColorProof

ColorProof worked with the Oroville Hope Center and focused on providing drinks, household goods, and hygiene products to vulnerable community members. Furthermore, they supported the Black Lives Matter Movement and Bright Pink Organization to bring attention to important social and health issues happening to people every day. Below is a photo of ColorProof employees packaging over 3,000 shampoos and conditioners to local hospitals and homeless shelters as a part of COVID-19 relief.

This year, Premier is focusing on remaining thankful and passing on resources to those who need them. All of us at Premier are thankful for all the partnerships and communities giving back to others. Premier would like to thank you as our customer and wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving this year. Keep an eye out for our next blog where we talk about how to engage in stylist self-care. Happy Thanksgiving.
